Unexpected New Developments Revealed in Blue Bloods Series Finale

Major plotlines and family disputes are resolved unexpectedly in the Blue Bloods season finale.

  • A heartfelt family supper brings the Reagans together.
  • Frank Reagan Handles Crisis at New York Police Department

In the season finale of Blue Bloods, the New York Police Department raced to identify perpetrators after three separate shootings, one of which wounded the mayor and another of which killed an officer.

The mayor, who was hospitalized with a gunshot wound, handed authority of the city to police commissioner Frank Reagan after receiving a video manifesto requesting amnesty for convicts. Frank embarked on a mission to apprehend those responsible.

Danny Reagan and Marisa Baez determined that Carlos Ramírez, a known enemy, was the gunman in the case of Supreme Court judge Barbara Carson’s shooting.

Danny detained Ramírez, who had threatened to hurt his daughter during a heated altercation. After hearing his grandpa talk about the need for a work-life balance, Danny asked his girlfriend Marisa out for pizza.

Officer Luis Badillo, meanwhile, lost his life in a gunshot that occurred during a carjacking. Even though he was hurt, his companion Eddie Janko made it through.

At the hospital where his fiancée had just given birth, Eddie and Jamie Reagan were joined by Jamie’s nephew Joe Hill in apprehending Amelio Mars, the gunman.

When Frank Reagan visited the wounded mayor, the latter urged him to take leadership and end the situation, presenting a pivotal moment.

Frank was able to capture Alandro Bautista, the mayor’s assassin, by using the information that Erin Reagan and her ex-husband Jack Boyle provided.

In a heartwarming turn of events, Eddie and Jamie shared the happy news that they were expecting a child, while Erin and Jack contemplated getting back together.

At the episode’s last family supper, Frank led the group in prayer and shared his feelings of thankfulness and pride.

Peacock and Paramount+ both provide streaming versions of all five seasons of Blue Bloods, which concluded after 14 seasons.
