Tia Mowry’s special advice on getting over divorce and ways to be happy.

Tia Mowry’s special advice

The pain of divorce is deep, but TV star Tia Mowry is sharing a way to get through this difficult period.

Recently, she answered fans’ questions on social media and shared from her own experience how to deal with this “heartbreaking feeling.”

Revelations and personal advice

Tia Mowry, whose own 14-year marriage to Corey Hardrick ended in October 2022 (the divorce was finalized in April 2023), candidly responded to a fan’s question who asked, “Man, how do I get over this divorce? God help me!”

Tia gave very straightforward advice: “Put the work in,” and “literally, completely focus on taking care of yourself.”

Ways to be happy

Tia believes it’s important to focus on things that bring you joy and relaxation.

“Create a friend circle, a community of friends, a support system.

Meditate. Take up new hobbies. Read books on healing,” she said.

The ‘Sister, Sister’ fame actress also advised fans to spend time with children if they have them, or “just surround yourself with people who really love you and support you.”

New experiences and changes

Tia added, “Do things that feel fun and fulfilling. Travel if you can. Traveling really helped me.

It’s all about creating new experiences.” She believes that the more experiences you have, the more you “get away from that heavy, heartbreaking feeling of divorce.”

Expressing emotions is important

Her last advice, which Tian has spoken about earlier, was that it is extremely important to express your emotions.

“Let yourself cry. Let yourself feel everything. Just don’t let it overwhelm you,” she said.

Last October, Tian revealed that she’s not afraid to be vulnerable in front of her daughter.

She says that as a mother, you think that your children should show their emotions, their ups and downs.

But she has chosen to “lead from an authentic place”, and let Caro see that “there are days when mommy is sad. And that’s okay.”

She added that she gives both Caro and Cree “space to express and be authentic.”

Tia believes that when you lead with authenticity, healing and growth happens, and she has allowed her children to do the same.
