NFL Legend Michael Strahan Rejects DWTS: “Harder Than Football”

Michael Strahan dodges Alfonso Ribeiro’s push to join Dancing With The Stars

RIBEIRO’S SNEAKY INVITATION

Michael Strahan just shut down Alfonso Ribeiro’s crafty attempt to get him on Dancing With the Stars.

The former Giants star jumped up for a quick shuffle with the DWTS co-host during Tuesday’s Good Morning America, but quickly sat his butt back down and declared, “That’s as much as you get.”

TOO TOUGH FOR THE TOUGH GUY

“This is what scared me,” Strahan confessed with a nervous laugh.

Every athlete who’s been on the show told him it was harder than professional football!

The NFL legend couldn’t wrap his head around putting himself through that torture at this point in his life.

RIBEIRO’S DESPERATE PITCH

Alfonso tried everything to convince the reluctant Strahan.

He promised a tall dance partner “so it won’t look so awkward” and pointed out that Michael’s already in LA on weekends anyway.

He even suggested those complaining athletes “weren’t giving their all” in training.

IMPRESSIVE FOOTBALL CREDENTIALS

Strahan’s no stranger to physical challenges, having dominated as defensive end for the Giants for 15 solid years.

The man helped lead his team to victory in Super Bowl XLII, for crying out loud!

But apparently, dance floors terrify him more than defensive lines.

OTHER ATHLETES CONFIRM THE STRUGGLE

Turns out Strahan’s fears aren’t just excuses.

Olympic gymnast Sunisa Lee shockingly admitted that DWTS was possibly harder than preparing for the Olympics!

NFL stars Rashad Jennings, Marcellus Wiley, and Jared Allen all described the dance training as absolutely “gruesome.”

NO BACKUP FROM COLLEAGUES

When cornered, Strahan hilariously tried passing the DWTS invitation to his co-anchor George Stephanopoulos.

But the veteran political commentator wasn’t having any of it either, quickly shutting down the suggestion with a firm “Yeah, no.” Some battles you fight alone!
