Barbados Tridents were able to answer the question in the affirmative as they recorded a thrilling four-wicket win over St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in a crucial encounter at Bridgetown.

Chasing down 119 with 12 balls to spare, the home side overcame a shaky start to the innings, with Chris Green and Quinton de Kock playing key roles in the victory.

The result also saw the Tridents improve their position on the points table.

Patriots Start With A Huge Problem

The visitors got off to a disastrous start with the bat as they lost three wickets for just six runs.

Johnson Charles, Kyle Mayers and Andre Fletcher were all out in the early stages, and the Patriots needed to turn things around if they were to avoid another defeat.

Jason Holder and Alick Athanaze attempted to steady the innings, but the Tridents continued their pressure.

The Tridents looked set to make a poor start to their chase as the opener Brandon King, Rivaldo Clarke and Zachary Carter were all out early.

Jason Holder caused the early scare with the ball as Barbados were reduced to 27 for three.

However, it was then Quinton de Kock who batted his way out of trouble as he showed his experience with the bat.

The right-hander remained calm under pressure to shepherd the run chase and eventually notch up a well-deserved 44 from 43 balls.

Sherfane Rutherford also chipped in with a quick 23 from 17 balls while Shadrack Descarte made 19.

The Tridents then moved within 12 runs of the target, with Daniel Sams hitting the winning runs to complete a four-wicket win.
