On top of that, Margherita also had a chat with Tuvalu’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Paulson Panapa.
They talked about making their friendship with Tuvalu even stronger, especially in fighting climate change, helping each other out, and keeping the region safe.
Since small island countries in the Pacific are dealing with big problems like rising sea levels and shaky economies, this talk showed India’s willingness to help out and be a good partner in solving these big issues.
Margherita’s trip to Tonga is just one step in India’s plan to get closer to Pacific Island countries, working together in ways that help both sides.
These meetings with top officials show how important it is to build strong relationships and work together to solve common problems.
The talks also show India’s dedication to being a good friend and partner to these island nations.
