The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards promise an exciting night with top contenders and live performances.
The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards are set to be a big deal, with top shows like “Shogun,” “The Bear,” and “Baby Reindeer” going head-to-head.
This year, the awards are happening on Sunday after a special January edition because of a strike, but they’re back in their usual spot in mid-September, with ABC’s Peacock Theater in Los Angeles as the stage.
The night will be run by the talented father-son team, Eugene and Dan Levy, who did a great job at the 2020 Emmys with “Schitt’s Creek.”
If you’re looking forward to watching, the show starts at 8 p.m. Eastern and you can catch it on ABC through cable, satellite, or antenna.
You can also stream it live on Hulu+ Live TV, YouTube TV, or FuboTV, or if you’re a Hulu subscriber, you can watch it the next day.
“Shogun” is a big name in the drama series category, having already won 14 Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
The show, set in feudal Japan, is breaking records and is expected to win at least six more awards tonight.
Originally in the limited series category, it moved to drama and has become an Emmy favorite after the original “Shogun” won awards.

“The Crown” is up against “Shogun” in its sixth and final season, with Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai hoping to make history as the first Japanese actors to win Emmys.
They’re going up against big names like Gary Oldman and Jennifer Aniston.
“The Bear” is looking to do it again in the comedy category, having done well earlier this year.
With nominations for best comedy series and standout performances from Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, the show is expected to do great again.
The limited series category is stacked with big names like Jodie Foster, who might win her first Emmy, and up-and-coming shows like “Baby Reindeer.”
With its popularity on the rise, “Baby Reindeer” is a strong contender for awards, showing off the exciting and changing world of this year’s Emmys.
