Tom Sandoval apologizes on the AGT stage
Hey man, have you heard about Tom Sandoval? The one from Vanderpump Rules? Last week, he walked onto the America’s Got Talent stage and shocked everyone!
He was wearing a bright green jacket, and he didn’t just come to watch – he came to perform!
From scandal to stage
Remember that cheating scandal that took the internet by storm? Yes, that was it.
Sandoval became the tabloids’ worst enemy after he had an affair with co-star Raquel Lewis and ended his nine-year relationship with Ariana Madix.
“I was called the most hated man in America,” Sandoval told the judges, a slight quiver in his voice. “It was a very tough time. I was in a very dark place.”
Music: An unexpected support
While everything was falling apart around her, Sandoval held on to one thing — her band, The Most Extras.
“This band was really the only thing that kept me going,” she admitted, adding that Vanderpump Rules viewers had never seen her so vulnerable before.

Simon’s surprising response
As Sandoval took the stage, Simon Cowell leaned forward with a knowing smile.
“I think I know who you are,” said Cowell, who had been told by producers beforehand.
When judge Howie Mandel was whispering about the scandal to Sofia Vergara, Cowell dismissed the rumors with a very straightforward: “Do you have any idea how little interest I have in all of that?”
Instead, Cowell issued a challenge: “Let’s teach America to like you.”
A-Ha Moment
With his girlfriend Victoria cheering from the sidelines, Sandoval and the Most Extras performed a cover of A-Ha’s ’80s hit “Take On Me.”
The high notes from Sandoval stunned many in the audience, who found themselves nodding along to the song.
A Second Chance?
“I just want people to see me as a musician, not just someone who came from a reality show,” Sandoval said in a voiceover as he took the stage.
After leaving Vanderpump Rules in December when the show announced a cast change, Sandoval seems determined to reintroduce himself through music.
Will his performance win over the judges — and more importantly, the viewers at home? We’ll find out when the show continues Tuesday night at 8 p.m. on NBC.
