Why is “The Bachelorette” delayed? Explore the behind-the-scenes drama, allegations, and uncertain future of the popular dating show.

“The Bachelorette” vanished from where?
Grant Ellis’s last choice from “The Bachelor” leaves the next top lady a mystery.
ABC delivered a bombshell revelation in February 2025: the show wouldn’t grace our screens in its regular July slot.
Is the series’ curtains here? Not exactly, Jesse Palmer, the franchise’s host, says.
Emphasizing “tremendous” things to come, he reassured listeners on the “Playing the Field” podcast that the show’s comeback is unavoidable.
What then is the holding back?
The million-dollar question is that one. ABC stays quiet. Still, whispers from behind the scenes create an alarming picture.
Speaking with Deadline, former and present crew members claim a “toxic” and “hostile” workplace under showrunners Claire Freeland and Bennett Graebner.
Verbal and psychological abuse, mind games, and a culture of fear have all come under fire.
While Freeland and Graebner, through their counsel, show shock and grief, Warner Bros. Television Group is apparently looking at these allegations.
Is there any fallout?
Really. Michael Margolis and Keely Booth, co-executive producers, left according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Deadline later on said that Freeland and Graebner also left the team.
The air date for “The Bachelorette” season 22 is yet unknown as of right now.
Is this first for the show?
Not precisely. Though the program usually runs “The Bachelor,” this is not the first change in schedule.
“The Bachelorette” rested in 2006 and 2007 following its 2003 premiere.
The next “Bachelorette” is still unknown even though the most recent “Bachelor” season concluded.
There are several theories about the delay.
The bachelorette from last season, Jenn Tran, offered her viewpoint.
“The Bachelorette does normally air in the summer when people are traveling — I heard that it doesn’t do as well as The Bachelor,” she told PEOPLE.
“So maybe it will provide an opportunity for the next Bachelorette to broadcast at a time when visibility is more evident. That would be pleasant.
Though its premiere date is yet unknown, “Bachelor in Paradise” is scheduled to resurfaced in 2025 after a hiatus for “The Golden Bachelorette.”
