Sunny Hostin suffered
Hey brother, listen up! Sunny Hostin‘s normal day on ‘The View’ turned downright scary when she ate some Greek food.
Former host Debbie Matenopoulos brought a recipe from her new book “GREEK.ish” to share with everyone.
Panic moment
“I almost died,” Sunny told viewers on Friday’s show. While eating, co-host Alissa Farrah Griffin noticed something worrisome and asked, “Does this have walnuts in it?” When Debbie said yes, Sunny’s heart sank.
Quick thinking in a crisis
With her severe nut allergy kicking in, Sunny quickly wrote Griffin a “death note.”
The studio immediately turned into an emergency scene when Sunny realized the danger she was in.
“I immediately panicked,” she said, describing how she frantically looked to executive producer Brian Teta for help.

Disney’s Medical Heroes
Thank god the medical staff was there! “Our Disney nurses are absolute superheroes,” Sunny gratefully explained.
Nurse Jain rushed in with an EpiPen and Benadryl, which may have saved Sunny’s life in those terrifying moments.
Support from fellow cast members
Although Griffin admitted she couldn’t read the hastily written “death note,” Sunny praised her colleague’s reaction: “She was amazing in that moment.”
The whole cast rallied around their terrified castmate.
Sarah Haines admitted she had no idea about Sunny’s nut allergy, making the situation even more shocking for everyone.
A memorable TV moment
Since joining ‘The View’ in 2016, Sunny has taken part in countless cooking segments, but this one stands out for all the wrong reasons.
What started out as a friendly food tasting turned into a bitter reminder of how quickly allergic reactions can turn dangerous.
