Shannon Beador in trouble again: Stopped by police while on probation!

What happened?

Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador Storms Beador was in trouble once again when she was stopped by police in Orange County on May 21.

According to court records, the 61-year-old reality star was issued a ticket for using a handheld phone while driving.

Wrong timing

The incident comes at a particularly sensitive time for Beador, who is on three years of probation for a DUI (drunk driving) arrest in September 2023.

Her probation doesn’t end until November 1, 2026.

Details of the ticket

While this latest encounter with police was not alcohol-related, it still raises eyebrows given her history.

Beador was issued a ticket and let off, slapped with a nominal $20 fine for first-time offenders ($50 for repeat offenders). She has until July 11 to pay it.

Her Previous DUI Incident

Last September, Newport Beach police arrested Beador after she allegedly hit a residential property with her car and fled the scene.

Officers later found her walking her dog nearby. According to reports, her blood alcohol level was 0.24 — more than three times the legal limit.

Consequences

After her DUI, Beador was not only placed on probation.

She also had to pay a $390 fine, complete 40 hours of community service, and enroll in a nine-month alcohol program.

Accepting Responsibility

In a July 2024 interview, Beador reflected on her DUI with genuine remorse: “I made a very stupid choice. I could have killed someone.”

She added, “Not a day goes by that I don’t think about it. But I didn’t hurt anyone, and I’m grateful for that.”

Her attorney previously said she is “deeply apologetic and remorseful” and “ready to accept full responsibility for her actions.”

What’s next?

Fans will be able to see Beador on the 19th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, which premieres Thursday, July 10 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.

Whether or not this latest incident will be discussed on the show remains to be seen.

While Beador’s representatives have not commented on the May traffic stop, it’s another hurdle for the reality star who is working to rebuild her reputation following last year’s serious legal troubles.
