Mike Wolfe Remembers Final Moments with Late Co-Star Frank Fritz

Mike Wolfe shares emotional final moments with late ‘American Pickers’ co-star Frank Fritz before his passing.

Mike Wolfe, the star of the hit show “American Pickers,” has opened up about his final moments with his former co-host and longtime friend, Frank Fritz, before Fritz’s passing.

The two had known each other for over 40 years and co-hosted the show for a decade, but their friendship had faced a tumultuous period.

Wolfe recalls rushing to Fritz’s bedside after receiving the call that he was not doing well.

He was able to be there for about an hour before Fritz’s passing, holding his hand and closing his eyes as he took his last breath.

Wolfe shared the heartfelt final words he spoke to his friend, telling him that he wasn’t mad and that he loved and cared for him deeply.

The two had a falling out during the show’s 21st season, with Fritz stepping away in 2020. However, Wolfe says they were able to mend their friendship before Fritz’s tragic passing.

Wolfe describes Fritz as an “extremely hard worker” and “extremely funny” with an unbelievable sense of comedic timing.

The rift between the co-hosts was largely attributed to Fritz’s battle with alcoholism and addiction, which Wolfe says he tried to help him overcome.

Wolfe even staged an intervention for Fritz, but ultimately, his friend couldn’t overcome his demons.

Despite the challenges they faced, Wolfe says he never disconnected from Fritz completely and continued to fight for him to get the help he needed.

The two eventually reconciled, and Wolfe was grateful for the opportunity to have those final, meaningful conversations with his friend before his passing.

As the “American Pickers” family mourns the loss of Frank Fritz, Wolfe wants him to be remembered as the “beautiful, beautiful person” he knew – a testament to the deep bond they shared, even in the face of adversity.
