Martin Kove’s bizarre story
Martin Kove, better known as John Kreese from Cobra Kai, seems to have a knack for making headlines – and not always for his acting! Recently, he was in the news for a bizarre biting incident at a fan event.
The shocking incident has brought back an old, equally bizarre Bill Hader story. And believe me, it’s no less bizarre.
A young driver, a Hollywood celebrity
In the late 1990s, before he became an Emmy Award-winning comedy legend, Bill Hader was just 20 years old and trying to make it in Hollywood.
He used to ferry Martin Kove to and from the set in his “bad car.” Sounds like a normal job, right? But it wasn’t. Kove decided to make it a memorable “Hollywood experience” for Hader.
Deliberately derailing
According to Hader, Kove deliberately derailed him one day.
Hader wanted to take the shorter route, but Kove insisted on taking a different, longer route.
The result? Hader showed up late to set and was “yelled at” by his boss. The day didn’t start off well.
That “great f— you” cookie
But the weirdness didn’t end there. On the way back, Kove started asking Hader if he was mad at him.
Even after Hader refused, Kove kept asking, and finally offered him a cookie and a milkshake from McDonald’s as a peace symbol. Sounds nice, right? But wait.
Hader stopped the car, and Kove went in. He came out with the cookie and milkshake in his hand, and then… he just sat in the back, and they both ate in front of Hader. Sharing was out of the question.
Hader called it “the biggest f— you.” He then drove home in total silence, undergoing a really weird “mind-blowing” experience.
Recent biting incident
As of now, Kove is once again in the news for his weird behavior.
At a recent fan convention, Cobra Kai co-star Alicia Hanna-Kim revealed that Kove bit her on the hand when she visited him.
Although Kove claimed that they “always playfully fight on set” and later apologized, saying he “went overboard”, the incident led to him being removed from the event.
Looks like Martin Kove keeps things interesting both on and off screen!
