Love Island USA’s Emotional goodbye stirs up the villa
The Love Island USA villa said goodbye to Chelley and Ace just days before the grand finale. The pair, who recently went exclusive, were voted out by America on Friday’s episode.
“We have each other’s backs. In the end, we won,” Chelley told PEOPLE after their elimination.
Stronger relationships getting eliminated?
Interestingly, their elimination is part of a pattern this season where stronger couples face elimination.
“It feels like the stronger connections got eliminated,” Chelley said. “What America wants to see is what they’re getting.”
What’s next for the pair?
Despite their journey ending early, the two are optimistic about their future together.
“We’re going to continue spending time together, nurturing our relationship,” Chelley shared. “We want to be thoughtful about it.”
Pre-show connection
Rumours swirled about the pair knowing each other before filming. They clarified that they only met once during Ace’s birthday in New York.
“We talked about it on day one,” Ace laughed, dismissing the conspiracy theories. “It’s not like we wanted to cheat our way to the top!”

Small world finally
It turned out that several of the contestants had already met each other. Chelley knew fellow New Yorker Amaya and model Andreina, while Ace knew Pepe. Even Nic and Jeremiah had connections beforehand.
“Everyone knows each other in some way,” Chelley admitted.
Villa dynamics
Despite his reputation as the “ringleader” of the villa, Ace admits to having leadership qualities.
“I’m very outspoken. I like to speak when it’s time to speak and be quiet when it’s time to be quiet,” he said, to which Chelley agreed.
Final Four Couples
With Chelley and Ace gone, there are four couples left: Amaya and Bryan, Nic and Olandria, Iris and Pepe, and Huda and Chris.
The season finale will air on Sunday, July 13, where one couple will be declared the winner and win a prize.
