Lisa Whelchel reveals Mike White is coming back

But our beloved Facts of Life star Lisa Whelchel is nowhere to be seen. What a thing, brother?
Her first trip to the Philippines
Remember when Lisa surprised everyone in 2012? She made it all the way to the finals in Survivor: Philippines!
The funny thing is that most of the contestants had no idea that she was the famous 80s TV star.
Her secret was revealed by Jonathan Penner at the final tribal council.
Lisa remained a household name for nine seasons playing Blair Warner in Facts of Life.
“I was never contacted”
Despite her popularity with fans, Lisa told Entertainment Weekly that she was never called for this particular season. “I was never contacted,” she says plainly.
The interview that sealed her fate
Lisa thinks her past statements were the reason producers didn’t call her.
“I think it’s because you did my COVID interview where I made it clear I was never going back.”
In that 2020 conversation, she made it very clear: “No. I got what I wanted, and more importantly, what I needed.
I will always be grateful for that. Now I prefer to enjoy the show from the warmth, comfort and emotional safety of my own home, thank you very much!”
One situation that could change her mind
Although Lisa now seems happy hosting Collectors Call on MeTV, she admits she could return to the island under a certain circumstance.
“The only possibility I would do Survivor again is if I were forced to do either Survivor or Dancing with the Stars,” she says with a laugh.
“Then I would do Survivor again, because I’m such a bad dancer.”
No dancing future
Fans hoping to see Lisa do the foxtrot or tango will be disappointed. “No, no, no,” she denies, waving her hand.
“I’ve turned them down so many times. Because my ego won’t tolerate Dancing with the Stars. I’m so terrible.”
Looks like the only reality competition in Lisa’s future is watching Survivor from her couch – just the way she likes it!
