Blood, Romance & Hollywood: Jessica’s Wild Notebook Audition

Jessica Biel just shared the most bizarre audition story you’ll hear this year.

While chatting on The View, she revealed how she once tried out for the tear-jerking romance “The Notebook” while completely covered in fake blood.

Talk about a first impression that sticks with you!

Horror Film Meets Love Story Fresh-faced and ambitious, Biel was filming “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” when opportunity knocked.

“I was super young, and I auditioned for The Notebook, which was going to be the greatest option for me,” she explained.

Landing a romantic lead would’ve been the perfect pivot from screaming her way through a slasher flick.

Trailer Park Romance The audition setup couldn’t have been weirder.

Ryan Gosling and director Nick Cassavetes actually came to her on set, squeezing into her tiny trailer.

There stood Biel in her blood-splattered costume, trying to channel romantic chemistry while looking like she’d just survived a massacre.

From Chainsaw to Love Notes “I just remember having blood on me and being in that white tank top,” she laughed.

Taking off her cowboy hat, she dove straight in: “Okay, I’d love to fall in love with you, let’s do this.”

Imagine trying to be dreamy and romantic while looking like you just walked off a crime scene!

The Role That Slipped Away Despite her memorable effort, Biel didn’t land the part.

“I didn’t get it of course,” she shrugged, looking back with good humor.

The role eventually went to Rachel McAdams, creating one of cinema’s most iconic couples with Gosling in the Nicholas Sparks adaptation.

A-List Competition Turns out Biel wasn’t the only star who missed out.

Britney Spears also auditioned but later admitted she was “glad” she didn’t get it.

Claire Danes and Scarlett Johansson were considered too, making this one of Hollywood’s most competitive casting calls.

Only in Hollywood Looking back at the surreal experience, Biel summed it up perfectly: “It was very strange, a very Hollywood moment, you know?”

Only in showbiz would you find yourself professing love to a future heartthrob while dripping with fake gore from your day job.
