Find out about Flipping El Moussas’s holiday difficulties and the start of the new season.
- Christmas with family first
- Big problem with flipping
- A new game show
The holiday season isn’t always the best time of the year for Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa, especially when it comes to flipping houses.
People have the first look at the second season opener of The Flipping El Moussas. It shows the married HGTV stars celebrating their first Christmas with their son Tristan and their extended family.
At their home in Newport Beach, they are having a fun time when Tarek gets a call about one of their worst flips yet.
Calling from work, Jake says, “I have some news.” “Good news, bad news?” Tarek asks. What’s the story?”
The family, who are all wearing holiday-themed onesies, watches as Tarek moves to a less busy table to answer the phone. Jake says, “Well, it’s definitely not good news.”
What’s wrong? They had to redo their Hawthorne project because an inspection found some small changes that didn’t match the original plans.
“Man, they’re really small, but he saw them and wants us to resubmit plans,” Jake says. Jake tells Heather and Tarek that it will “probably take six weeks” to solve the problem, which makes their holiday parties less fun.
How has the family grown in the last few months?
Tristan joined their family in January 2023.
What family custom is very important to them?
Every year wearing the same Christmas pajamas.
What new show are they starting?
The Flip Off with Christina Haack.
When does Season 2 start?
On HGTV on Thursday, December 26, at 9 p.m. ET.
Even with the delay, Tarek and Heather are still juggling their growing family with their love of selling houses.
The Flipping El Moussas first aired in March 2023. It followed their trip through Southern California’s real estate market as they got ready to become parents.
As they learn to live as a family of five, Season 2 will have even crazier projects and more meaningful family moments.
