Caught in the Act
Barry Williams got crazy tired filming The Brady Bunch. He snuck away one day without telling anyone.
While the crew filmed backyard scenes, he crashed on Greg Brady’s bed on the quiet side of the soundstage. Nobody thought to check there!
The Great Brady Hunt
The exhausted actor dozed off so deeply that crew members searched everywhere for 30 minutes. That’s forever when production’s waiting!
Someone finally spotted him fast asleep on his character’s bed.
Williams, now 70, shared this confession on his podcast with fellow Brady brother Christopher Knight.
Not-So-Hot Sets
Knight explained how unused TV sets were usually marked with “hot set” tape.
But those rules weren’t always followed strictly on their show.
Williams took advantage of this loophole when extreme tiredness hit him.
“That’s why they didn’t think to look for me there,” he admitted.
Brady Bros: Different Approaches
While Williams crashed between scenes, Knight never napped on set.
“Never fell asleep in the bed. I mean, what am I, 12 years old with all the energy in the world?” Knight joked.
Both agreed the filming schedule was super demanding, but they handled exhaustion differently.
