Garcelle Beauvais is headed out of Beverly Hills! On Tuesday, March 25, the actress, 58, made a surprising announcement disclosing her departure from Bravo’s long-running “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” where she has been a regular for five seasons.
Why did you suddenly leave?
Beauvais revealed her choice in a moving video posted on her Instagram.
It was more about her family’s priorities and following fresh, interesting projects than about drama. “I have some news: I have decided to leave Beverly Hills.”
she started. “It’s been a wild ride, some amazing things have happen, and some hard things have also happened — but it’s been a ride nevertheless.”
Specifically, what is dragging her away?
“My family, my boys, is one of the causes of my leaving. I want to participate in their last year of high school, which comes next year. And I want to be involved as Jade is beginning a new career.
Second, I am working on, producing, and performing the most fascinating projects; right now I cannot tell you anything but you will know soon.”
Did she depart under foul terms?
Not very much. Beauvais thanked Andy Cohen, Bravo, NBC Universal, Evolution, and 32 Flavors among other people engaged in “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
She also saluted “the producers, the crew, and of course, the ladies.”
Saying, “Andy Cohen says I can come back anytime, the door will always be open, so you never know, I might pop back in sometime,” she even hinted at a possible return.
How did she thank her admirers?
With true friendliness. “To the fans, I want to sincerely thank you. Beauvais said, “You people have supported me, cheered me on, occasionally even fought for me or on my behalf.”
