Dead City’s Returns
Imagine: two men on their knees, Negan swinging Lucille between them.
Sounds familiar, right? This time, Bruegel and Armstrong were facing the bat that gave us nightmares years ago.
But wait—Neegan surprised us! Though the bat fell on Armstrong, it hit Bruegel first. And not quickly.
He filled the man with methane and watched him burn from the inside, then finished the job with Lucille. Oh my god!
Maggie’s Outburst
How would you feel if you saw your husband’s killer repeat his most infamous deed? As Negan moved to kill Armstrong, something inside Maggie snapped.
She stabbed Negan in the back, finally fulfilling a promise to her son. The moment she had waited years for had arrived…
…until it didn’t. The discovery that Ginny had already become a zombie changed everything.
Instead of killing Negan, Maggie gave him her knife so he could give the girl a mercy killing.
From Enemy to…What?
As New Babylon’s troops invade Manhattan, our three survivors are holed up in an apartment.
Then came the jolt—a shared epiphany that felt like a new beginning:
“The truth is there’s only one way forward,” they said in turn as memories flashed across the screen.
“We help each other and the path is cleared. We move forward together.”

Behind the Blood
Producer Scott Gimple calls it a real turning point. “Negan was forced to become something he didn’t want to be again,” he explains.
Are they friends now? Absolutely not. Gimple calls their new relationship “a de-escalation.”
“They’ll be in a better place forever,” he says. “Not killing each other is a big accomplishment, too!”
And what of the army of New Babylon? Will our trio fight them together? Gimple simply smiles: “We’ve surprised you before… the unexplainable.”
One thing is clear—Dead City has delivered its most heartbreaking episode yet, with characters confronting their ghosts while stumbling toward something that maybe, just maybe, might look like forgiveness.
