Brooklyn resident George Gauntas surprised everyone by winning the Pedro Pascal lookalike contest!
Funnily enough, this Brooklyn dad had no intention of attending, but his wife convinced him.
Incredible similarity
Ever since ‘Game of Thrones’ came out, people have been telling Gauntus that he looks like Pascal.
The resemblance is really striking – they both have the same beard and the same deep look that Pascal’s fans love.
The judges couldn’t believe how much Gauntus resembled the real Pascal, especially when he wore his black sleeveless shirt!
From lighting designer to celebrity lookalike
The most interesting thing is that Gauntas already works in TV, he is the lighting designer of ‘The Daily Show’.
His contest was won by ‘Daily Show’ Crew Member And now he’s in the spotlight!
His wife Jenny says that even though he has no presence on social media, “now he will be everywhere.”

Gauntas beat about 30 other Pascal counterparts in a rain-soaked contest.

There is an interesting story behind this. Chef Anisha Garcia of Son del North organized the contest after she heard that he had claimed that good Mexican food was not available in New York City.

Before this match, his Timothy Chalamet had a similar contest in October, in which the real actor came and surprised the fans.
For Gauntas, what started as a normal Father’s Day activity has turned him into a local celebrity.
His wife Jenny remembers how she dragged him to the competition: “It’s Father’s Day. You must go. This will be your Father’s Day gift.
