Cross-Season Love Connection
Two Love Island USA contestants proved that you don’t need a TV show’s matchmaker to find love.
Season 6’s Connor Newsum and Season 5’s Carmen Kocourek have officially made their relationship public.
Newsum, 28, shared the news on Instagram with a simple caption: “An update.”
The post included 5 cozy photos that show the new couple in different settings.
From Bombshells to Lovebirds
Both reality stars made similar entries in their respective seasons, arriving on Day 2 as “bombshells” who come to the villa to create a ruckus.
Their villa journeys were different—Newsum was dumped on Day 15 while Kocourek made it to the finals—but their lives were eventually found in the real world.
Picture Perfect
The Instagram carousel tells their story without too many words.
The couple is extremely happy in every photo, from casual hangouts to dressed-up date nights.
In one particular photo, Newsum is seen kissing Kocourek on the cheek.

Support from Coasters
The comments section was quickly filled with support from their fellow Islanders.
Liv Walker wrote “Awwwww,” while Aaron Evans jokingly called Newsum “Dad Rizz.”
Kocourek’s former castmates also didn’t hold back in praise.
Johnnie Olivia said, “God she’s STUNNING,” while Leslie Golden added, “Awwww cutiessss❤️.”
Fresh Start After Heartbreak
This new relationship comes a year after Kocourek’s previous Love Island romance ended.
She and Kenzo Nudo, who placed fourth in season 5, split in July 2024, after dating a year after the show.
Beyond the Villa
Fans will soon see Newsum back on screens. He will appear in the upcoming spinoff “Love Island: Beyond the Villa,” which will follow the Season 6 cast as they juggle their lives, careers, and relationships after finding fame in Los Angeles.
This new series will premiere Sunday, July 13 on Peacock, and new episodes will air every Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
