Marriage Crisis
Candace Cameron Bure recently shared an extremely personal story about going through a seriously rough patch in her marriage.
On her podcast, she explained that during the pandemic in 2020, her relationship with husband Valeri Bure was “deteriorating rapidly.”
The couple, married since 1996, began to feel like they might not even recover.
An Unexpected Sermon
When things seemed most hopeless, help came from a surprising source — from their son Lev.
In this reversal of roles, the young man sat his parents down and gave them what Candace described as a “45-minute sermon on marriage.”
Imagine this: their son on the couch, Bible open, offering a sermon of wisdom in their struggling relationship.
Young But Wise
What makes this story especially touching is Lev’s self-awareness. Candace recalled that he said, “I know I’m not married and I’m just a young man.
So maybe it might be hard to get marriage advice from someone so young who’s never experienced it before.
But I don’t have to be married to know what God’s Word says.”
Defending Moment
This heartwarming intervention turned out to be a pivotal moment for the Full House star and her hockey player husband.
Candace described her son as “such a calm voice with a lot of wisdom behind it,” who really changed the direction of their marriage.

Proud Parents’ Moment
Despite receiving their son’s advice, Candace and Valeri walked out of there with a surprising feeling — pride.
They thought to themselves, “We raised some good kids.”
It’s not every day that your kids switch roles and give you life-changing advice.
Family Circle
All three of Bure’s children – Natasha (26), Lev (25), and Maksim (23) – were present for this family intervention.
Candace expressed deep gratitude for their support, “I am so grateful for Lev, Maks and Natasha. They were so supportive of everything.”
Full Circle Moment
Interestingly, when Lev shared his relationship wisdom, he was not married himself, but he is now married as well.
In January 2024, Candace proudly announced her son’s marriage to Elliott on Instagram, welcoming a “beautiful daughter and a wonderful family to share life with.”
From TV Family to Real Family
Famous for her role on Full House, Candace actually met Valeri through her TV family.
Her co-star Dave Coulier introduced the couple at a charity hockey game, beginning a relationship that has now lasted nearly three decades, weathered severe storms, and been strengthened by the wisdom of the next generation.
