The 32-time Grammy winner is going back to her city of Houston for the big day, and millions of people can’t wait for what looks like it will be an amazing show.
Beyoncé put out a fun promo video to get people excited. “Texas Hold ‘Em”‘s first few notes are played on a banjo while a football rolls toward her in the ad.
Then, right before she starts singing, a sign for buffering shows up, making fun of Netflix’s past livestream mistakes.
When the video starts up again after the “glitch,” Beyoncé winks at the camera, making her fans very happy.
Netflix, which is showing the NFL Christmas Gameday for the first time, replied to her post with a sly “Now hold on…” Soon after Beyoncé made her funny joke, fans replied, “The buffering is diabolical” and “I thought my phone was lagging!”
It’s not the first time Netflix has had trouble livestreaming.
- The fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul in November 2023 had trouble connecting.
- The Season 4 gathering of Love Is Blind in April 2023 was 45 minutes late because of technology issues.
- Netflix said that these problems were caused by an extra 6.5 million users.
- Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother, told fans that there would be no problems with that at this halftime show.
At the halftime show at NRG Stadium, Beyoncé will finally perform live in Houston after a long time away.
Fans are even more excited because they think she will play songs from her “Cowboy Carter” project for the first time.
From 1 p.m. ET, you can watch the NFL game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans on Netflix. You can also watch old games over and over for three hours after the game is over.
The Kansas City Chiefs play the Pittsburgh Steelers at 4:30 p.m. ET on Christmas Day, which is the next interesting game in football on Christmas Day.
