unique bond between Allison Williams & Violet McGraw
Oh brother, after two M3GAN movies, Allison Williams and 14-year-old Violet McGraw have developed a bond that goes far beyond the aunt-niece relationship we see on screen.
But there’s one thing Allison won’t budge on – allowing her younger co-star to watch her old HBO show “Girls.”
“Violet has not seen ‘Girls,’ and never will,” Allison said sternly during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
In a playful yet serious tone, she told Violet, “You can watch it when I’m gone.”
The scene that embarrasses Allison
What is it that has Alison so upset? One particular scene seems to come to her mind every time the topic is discussed.
“There’s one scene that pops into my mind right away, and I just can’t even be in the same country as you right now,” Alison confessed.
“I have to be in space when you watch it.”
When Violet argued that she was already 14, Alison quickly interrupted her: “I know you’re 14, and you’re so smart, but thank God you’re still 14. Just be yourself.”
What was that infamous scene?
Though Alison never named the specific moment, “Girls” never shied away from pushing boundaries.
The HBO series, which ran from 2012 to 2017, was the story of four twenty-something women taking charge of their lives in New York City.
There was a particularly bold scene in season four that featured Alison’s character, Marnie, in an intimate scene with Dessie (played by “The Bear” star Ebon Moss-Bachrach) that was delicately referred to as “ass-motorboat.”

Magic behind the scenes
When shooting that infamous scene in 2015, Alison handled it with surprising practicality.
“I went into full action mode,” she told Vulture. “I gathered everybody together and said, ‘Grace [in wardrobe], we’ll create something that makes her feel comfortable.'”
The actress also requested the makeup team apply vanilla cream everywhere so she “smells like cake,” and worked with the wardrobe to create a hidden pillow-like barrier. “You’ll never know; it’s all TV magic,” she explained.
From Risky TV to Killer Robots
Now, Allison and Violet are focusing on their horror franchise, “M3GAN 2.0,” releasing in theaters on June 27.
The sequel promises even more killer robot action, including a flying M3GAN.
While their on-screen dynamic is all about fighting terrifying AI, their off-screen relationship shows just how seriously Allison takes her mentorship role – even if it means hiding parts of her career… as long as she’s still around in this world to be embarrassed by.
