’90s Icon Reunites With Cast
OMG, they’re back! Alicia Silverstone and her “Clueless” co-stars just had the most epic reunion ever at the Academy Museum in LA.
The gang got together to mark a whopping 30 years since they first taught us what “totally buggin'” meant!
Silverstone, now 48, joined Elisa Donovan and Breckin Meyer for a special screening that had fans freaking out with nostalgia.
Bear’s Adorable First Viewing
Turns out Silverstone’s son Bear has been a fan since he was tiny!
She spilled the tea about showing him the movie when he was just 5 years old at an outdoor cemetery screening.
The little dude didn’t catch most of the teen drama, but he sure noticed that kiss at the end!
“He started kissing me more afterward. It was so sweet,” Silverstone shared with a laugh.
From Big Screen to TikTok Fame
Bear, now a cool 14-year-old, has watched his mom’s iconic film about four times.
He even joined her at the anniversary celebration, looking every bit the proud son!
The mother-son duo have actually recreated classic “Clueless” scenes for TikTok, sending fans into absolute meltdown mode with their spot-on performances that broke the internet.
Cher’s New Chapter Coming Soon
Hold onto your plaid skirts, people! Silverstone dropped a bombshell in April about bringing Cher Horowitz back for a Peacock TV sequel series.
While she’s keeping her lips sealed about plot details, the project’s got serious firepower with “Gossip Girl” creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage writing the script.
Original director Amy Heckerling is also on board and “thrilled to death” about revisiting this world.
Yellow Plaid Never Goes Out of Style
This isn’t the first time Silverstone has slipped back into Cher’s iconic outfits.
She’s rocked that yellow plaid ensemble for a Super Bowl commercial, killed it on Lip Sync Battle performing “Fancy,” and regularly embraces her alter ego.
When asked if she ever thought she’d play Cher again, she admitted, “I didn’t. And then I did it for the Super Bowl, and it was so much fun!”
From Jane Austen to Streaming Queen
Remember how “Clueless” cleverly updated Jane Austen’s “Emma” for ’90s Beverly Hills? The original cast included Paul Rudd, Stacey Dash, and the late Brittany Murphy.
While the first TV adaptation (1996-1999) featured Rachel Blanchard as Cher, this new series brings back the OG fashionista herself.
Fans can’t wait to see how Cher navigates life in her 40s with the same heart and humor we fell in love with.
